I’m the last one in my office building tonight, and I’m not done yet. I’m off to a DUI seminar with some of the foremost experts in the state.

When you hire a criminal lawyer with expertise, you’re not paying for what that lawyer does, you’re paying for who he or she knows, and what he or she knows. We spend our professional lives not only in court, but in seminars, educational events, community service opportunities and political functions.

A client doesn’t just pay for knowledge of the evidence code, the penal code, or the vehicle laws. Sure that’s part of it, but we also have to know the judges, the DAs, the other attorneys, and how they interact. It’s all to the client’s benefit.
